Thanksgiving Outfit Ideas for Women

Since Thanksgiving is only a day away, you might be asking yourself, "What should I wear on Thanksgiving day ?" Don't worry though, in this article I will be giving you three different outfit options, as well as what colors you should stick to. Not only will I be giving outfit inspiration for Thanksgiving but these outfits would be great outfit options for friendsgiving and family get toghethers as well. These looks are great Fall/Winter outfits that would also make for a great Christmas gift. Many of the the looks I am breaking down are being sold at store's that have been having great sales. Just in time for Black Friday and Cyber Monday. So keep reading and make sure to check my LiketoKnowIt account out as well !
This first look is chic but also trendy.I took some inspiration from three of my favorite fashion icons such as Haliey Bieber, Gigi Hadid, and Kendall Jenner. All three of these icons love a 90's straight leg pair of leather pants especailly in this mocha brown color. These brown leather pants I am wearing are a staple piece in your closet. I find it so hard to find a pair of leather pants that fit perfectly. These pants hug my curves in all the right places, plus if you're short and curvy like me (for reference im 5'0) I like to get my pants in short and curvy from Abercrombie & Fitch. This way I don't have to get them hemmed or have to wear high heels. This aysymetrical ponte top that I paired these leather pants with is in that same mocha brown color. Wearing a monochromatic look can be described as wearing one color head to toe.In this Instyle magzine article dicusses "20 Monochromatic Outfit Ideas That Pr ove One Color Is the Way to Go" this article explains how at one time wearing a monochromatic look was once considered a bold choice. Now it's considered an effortless and classy look. It talks about how traditionaly monchromatic looks were once just throwing on a matching set or suit. It discusses how Monochromatic looks don't have to be exact and you can actually pair different shades from the same color scheme to spice a look up. Which is what I tried doing with this look. The browns are very similar shades of mocha brown but they are slightly different adding contrast to the look. This article also discussed adding texture with fur, lace, and leather. I tried to incorporate some texture into this look with the leather pants and the smooth spandex of the top. This top adds a chic component to the look with its aysymetrical cut out on the shoulder adding a little glamour to the look. This makes it a perfect Thanksgiving look that strays away from the classic jeans and sweater. For accessories, I wore gold hoops and a stuctured mini tan handbag. For shoes I paired this look with with the bone colored Western Steve Madden sock booties. These gold hoops and boots are from Macy's are on sale right now. Make sure to check out my Liketoknowit account to check out my links to this look. The top and Pants are from Abercrombie & Fitch which is another store that is having some great deals so make sure to check it out. Almost all of the items i'm wearing are on sale right now for Black Friday !
This next look is casual chic. Now I know some people like to be more comfortable for the holidays and wearing a skirt might not be your first choice. If you want to be a little more dressed up for the holidays then this might be a great choice for you. I for one love a skirt for the holidays. I think its classy looking. I also tend to get hot inside the house with lots of family and friends all in one place especially if you might have been cooking all day. Now I know this is probably not the most practical outfit if you aren't hosting Thanksgiving at your house and have to travel to your destination. Also, if you live somewhere with chillier tempratures I would reccomend adding some stockings and maybe a nice wool peacoat. However if you live somwhere warm this would be a great option. For this look I paired this suit inspired high waisted mini skirt that is a wrap styling which is very flattering on the body. This skirt is inspired by old money asthetic and is encompassing the trend of Plazacore which is referencing Eloise from the book series and the movie "Eloise at the Plaza Hotel". For my top I paired this olive green satin puff sleeve tie back top. I love the ruche detailing on the sleeves it is such a classic look. For shoes I wore these Steve Madden platform Block-Heel booties. The classic platform shoe is huge trend right now that has made a resurgance this style used to be big during the 70's and its back. As someone who is only 5'0 I love a good platform shoe that gives me some height. These shoes would also make a great gift for the holiday season and are on sale right now at Macy's. Make sure to check my Like to know it out for all my links!
For jewlery I kept it simple. Olive green looks so good with gold jewlery. I wore a pair of gold twisted hoops. These hoops are being sold at Macy's and are actually on sale right now for a great price and would make a great gift for your mom, sister, friend, or significnat other. They are 18k vermial. My necklace that I am wearing is from Chloe and Lois the Fizz Necklace saldy they don't the exact necklace anymore but they do have a very similar necklace that is equally as beautiful and dainty. It's hard to see in this photo but I am also wearing the Fizz ring which is dainty with just a touch of sparkle to it. Both of these pieces are 14k gold plated which make a great gift for someone you know might have an allergic reaction to fake jewelery. I tend to have sensitive skin to fake jewelery and both of these pieces have never given me a problem.
This last look is for the women who want to be festive but comfortable at the same time. In my opinion flannels are the epitome of Fall. You can never go wrong with a classic flannel and some black skinny jeans, leggings or a pair of 90's stright leg jeans. I styled my flannel with a cropped tank top and some skinny jeans. For shoes I paired it with some black leather booties. This really is the perfect comfortable Thanksgiving outfit perfect for relaxing after Thanksgiving dinner while your still in your post food comoa ! The color scheme of my flannel was tan and grey but there are so many differnt flannels out there. Some of my favorite colored flannels you could look for are maroon, olive green, mocha brown, mustard yellow, black & white. You also dont have to wear a crop top underneath you could pair your flannel with a sweater or turtleneck. For jewlery I kept it simple with the same gold hoops from Macy's. Not only is this whole look great for Thanksgiving but it would also make for a great gift. Make sure to check out my links on my Liketoknowit account. Besdies, there is no such thing as having to many flannels in your closet.
