Spring has Sprung Part 1

Spring has finally arrived ! This post was orginally just going to be some outfit inspiration for Spring. I am still going to keep this as lighthearted as I can. I'm sure everyone isn't as excited about Spring due to everything going on right now and being quarantined. We all just have to stick together, pray for the best and this we all be over before we know it. I have always had a love for fashion since I was a little girl. As an adolescent I would use fashion as an outlet to express what I was feeling. Growing up was an awkward and confusing experience. Depending on how I felt, what I was wearing would reflect that. In High School and Junior High I would use clothes as an escape from my everyday life and the judgment of my peers. During this uncertain time, I would turn to fashion. I felt that when I would feel confident in the right outfit, I would no longer care about others’ opinions of me. I enjoyed being and looking different.  During this uncertain time, I would turn to fashion. I felt that when I would feel confident in the right outfit, I would no longer care about others’ opinions of me. I enjoyed being and looking different. I have always believed if one dressed nice, one will feel confident. Clothing, whether high end or inexpensive, has the power to change a person and how they view themselves. So I hope during these uncertain times that someone out there will feel inspired and even if we can't live our normal lives at the moment to just have some fun whether you do a little shopping spree or mixing and matching outfits in your room.
On a happier note, this first outfit is so fun and sexy. This Bleecker top is perfect because it is a fun take on what would typically be just a grey sweatshirt. I love the detailing on this top, with its mock neck and how its distressed and exposes one shoulder. I paired it with a pair of classic black jeans and a black leather belt. For accessories, I paired it with leopard print hoop earrings that matched my leopard print booties. You can check out this top and the hoops at Hudson Square Boutique. If you do for 15% off your order use my discount code ALEXIS15. Also right now they are doing free shipping on all online orders. This outfit is great for those transition days into spring. It is also a great top because you could wear it more casual by pairing it with a pair of leggings, sneakers, and a dad hat. Although, this top can be styled so many different ways this would be so cute tucked into a pair of denim cut off shorts in the summer. It could be used to throw over a bathing suit with denim shorts. This top is also great to lounge around in especially with everything going on right now, with being stuck at home. You could wear this cute comfy top to your virtual meeting for work or a virtual lecture class.
This next outfit gives me 70's vibes. In this outfit I'm wearing the brand just black denim, these are high rise skinny flare jeans.  I paired them with this dark blue flared sleeve top. For accessories, I added this three layered gold necklace and platform tan sandal wedges. You can check out these jeans and the necklace at Hudson Square Boutique. If you do for 15% off your order use my discount code ALEXIS15. This outfit is a great spring outfit perfect for a girls night out, brunch, date night, dinner by the water etc. It will also be great for those chilly nights in the summer, but you may want to wear a tank top or strapless bodysuit with the jeans in the summer time instead of the long sleeve top.
In this last outfit I'm wearing a camo stripped duster jacket. I love this outfit because its casual but still fun and playful. I love how the jacket is mixing two different patterns together. I decided to color block by wearing a black ruffled crop tank top and black skinny jeans. For accessories, I added a sack style purse and a three layered gold necklace. This sack style purse can be worn as a clutch style or you can add the strap and wear it as a cross body bag. You can check out this duster jacket and the necklace at Hudson Square Boutique. If you do for 15% off your order use my discount code ALEXIS15. This outfit is a great spring transition piece for that in between weather, especially if your from New York. But this duster would be  perfect for summer  as well. You could throw it over a crop top with some denim shorts or over a body con dress with some sandals. It is great for those chilly summer nights and is the perfect cute but casual outfit.
